Church Description: Bible Baptist Church has a long and rich history in Buffalo, MO, and Dallas County. (Established in 1950). As part of that history, we consistently strive for continuous growth, not just in numbers, but in Biblical knowledge and spiritual health. Bible Baptist has seen Christ actively working in and through the lives of those involved on our ministry and we share a unified purpose based on Matthew 28:19: "Go, Teach, and Baptize". Our church family is committed to helping everyone within the scope of our ministry to know and experience the love of Jesus and join in His redeeming work of Salvation. This includes a fervent commitment to the work of missions both foreign and domestic. Offering a warm and welcoming environment to both guest and members alike, Bible Baptist is characterized by Biblical teaching with an approachability and accessibility that is experienced in every area of our ministry. (We average 120 to 140 in attendance at this time). Here at Bible Baptist, we love our children and youth and place a special emphasis and priority on these essential areas of ministry. Job Requirements: Education and Experience: Minimum of a 4-year Undergraduate Degree in Theology/Pastor Studies; Post-Graduate Degree preferred, but not required; 10 years of ministry experience including teaching and leadership. Personal Characteristics: Has a clear profession of faith in Christ and a love for His church; Is an example to the church in how he leads, loves, and cares for his family consistent with the commands and teachings of God's Word; Is a man who reflects the Biblical qualities of a Pastor found in 1 Timothy 3, Titus 1, and 1 Peter 5; Manages time and tasks with great efficiency; Consistently strives to live a life that brings glory to God; Is a tither, a soul winner, and is respected for his character, integrity, and ethics in the church, the community, and the Bible Baptist Fellowship. Willing to intimately familiarize himself with the Buffalo area and strive to acclimate himself with the positive cultural attributes of Bible Baptist, while seeking to be a positive influence upon that culture. Must be sociable, relational, a people person, adaptable and flexible.
Job Description: The Senior Pastor is responsible for the overall health and growth of Bible Baptist and its effectiveness in the pursuit of our mission and the vision of the church. He will provide leadership for staff and lay leaders to make certain that they are on track and are appropriately trained; Set the tone for the staff and lay leadership with a work ethic that if copied by each member of the leadership team it will raise them to a higher level of effectiveness. Needs to exhibit a complete understanding of church finances including management of funds and allocation of resources; Possess the organizational and strategic skills and ability to effectively discuss short-term and long-term goals; Make himself available for members during times of celebration and times of grief; Maintain a consistent desire to cooperate and fellowship with other BBFI churches and pastors; Participate and represent our church in conferences that will help strengthen and clarify the vision and ministry of Bible Baptist; Serve as the lead administrator and effectively delegate practical and ministerial responsibilities; Work with the Board of Servants to develop and oversee the overall budget of Bible Baptist and seek to lead our church as good stewards of the resources that God has blessed our church with; Oversee the implementation of and adherence to church covenant, constitution, and bylaws and oversee the installation of church leadership. Develop and preach sound Biblically based lessons and sermons that effectively challenge, edify, and equip our membership. The Senior Pastor will consistently teach with the intent of thoroughly growing and deepening the Biblical and Theological knowledge of our members; Pro-actively arrange for additional guest communicators as necessary for services that highlight missions and other areas of ministry in times of his absence; Be firmly grounded in Biblical beliefs; Financially contribute to Bible Baptist with your tithes and offerings; Be loyal to the vision and purposes of Bible Baptist and always protect church unity, doctrinal soundness, the sanctity of life, and the Biblical definitions of marriage and family.

Bible Baptist is a good church with the motto ‘A Welcoming Family of Faith’. I have, over my 19 years of ministry here, endeavored to cultivate an accepting and loving ‘family atmosphere’. Since the 2020 pandemic the church has average 100+ in attendance (down slightly from 150+ before Covid). Our ministry has majored on faithful preaching of the word of God (mostly expository). We have a flexible, relaxed, conservative, blended worship style. Our Sunday Morning services are viewable online on our Facebook page and archived on our YouTube channel (BBC St. Charles livestream).
Our Facilities are debt free, and consist of a Church building that has undergone remodeling during my 19 years of ministry here, a gymnasium, a parsonage and a recently resurfaced parking lot. The church finances are healthy at this time, and our Mission fund is strong as well. The church currently supports a full time pastor and Assistant pastor, a part time secretary and a custodian. I believe that for a man with sufficient energy and vision there is a tremendous potential for growth in our community. There is a need to attract and retain younger families (we have several in our membership, but it is an area that could improve with proper leadership).
